Why Can’t Men Tell Each Other How They Feel?
Friendship can be confusing. Unlike a romantic relationship where feelings are expressly shared and commitments publicly made at things like weddings, friendship’s informality can make it hard to know where we stand. I may see you as a friend while you see me as an acquaintance. I may have you in my A list while you have me in your B list. And this confusion grows even worse for men, who generally struggle to share what they meant to each other at all.
Friendship Lab Founder Sheridan Voysey explored this in one of his Pause for Thought spots on BBC Radio 2’s Zoe Ball Breakfast Show. As you’ll hear, after all his research, Sheridan thought he knew a thing or two about friendship. Then a conversation with a friend showed him how much he too had to learn.
